American
Shed Builders Buyer's Guide
Picking
the Best Location for your
Shed...
Page 3
Picking
the location for your new shed is an important step in
the process. Key issues to consider when selecting a
location are as follows: 1.
Do you want the shed near or far from the house?
-
The
closer you place the shed to the house, the easier
and more convenient it is to access.
-
The
further away you place the shed, the longer your
walk and less convenient, but it make take up less
of your "usable" space.
2.
Is the ground area for the shed level?
-
You
DO NOT need a perfectly level spot for the shed.
American Shed Builders will shim under the shed to
make it sit level, and there is no extra charge
for this. (we do not, however, level your ground).
-
We
CANNOT, however, build a shed in an area that is
far from level (12" or more) without pouring
solid concrete pillars. There is an extra charge
for concrete pillars and we need to know in
advance of your scheduled installation date if
concrete pillars are required.
3.
Is the location the lowest in your yard?
4.
Is placing the shed in this location going to effect
anything else?
5.
Is there enough clearance of trees and scrubs (height
& width) to place the shed in the desired
location?
