1. What should we put the shed on?

We build the shed directly on your grass or dirt. You do not need a foundation. But, if you prefer to have a foundation, we recommend either stone or concrete. Mulch is NOT recommended since it is too soft and the shed will settle.

 

2. Should I check with the town?

Yes, check with the local zoning office to see if the town has any "set back" requirements (distance from property line). American Shed Builders, Inc. requires a 2' clearance on all sides for shed construction.
